DHEDA, Prof Keertan
Keertan Dheda (MBBCh (Wits), FCP (SA), FCCP, PhD (Lond)) is Head of the Lung Infection and Immunity Unit and Associate Professor of Respiratory Medicine (SARChI), Partitioning of Pulmonology and UCT Lung Plant, Section of Medicine, University of Greatcoat Town.
He holds an honorary kinesthesia position at UCL. His group'due south main enquiry interests are the study of pulmonary regulatory immunological pathways in relation to infection, rapid and field-friendly diagnosis of tuberculosis, and drug-resistant tuberculosis. His work is funded by the SA MRC, SA NRF, Eu FP7, EDCTP and NIH.

Dvora is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on evaluating innovative technologies and interventions to ameliorate the delivery of HIV/STI prevention interventions (including pre-exposure prophylaxis) and treatment in sub-Saharan Africa, specially in pregnant women, male partners and families.

Key inquiry areas involve optimising doses and drug combinations for patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis or TB/HIV co-infection, and optimising anti-tuberculosis drug use in children. She participates in inquiry projects across Africa, also as in Asia and South America where a central involvement is the support and mentoring of investigator-initiated pharmacology research projects.

She holds an date as adjunct professor at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia and equally a visiting professor at the Baker Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
STEIN, Prof Dan
Professor and Caput of Dept, Psychiatry and Mental Health; Chair in Psychiatry; Manager, the Brain and Behaviour Initiative (BBI).
The Brain and Behaviour Initiative (BBI) enables cross-faculty, multidisciplinary, collaborative enquiry in the cognitive and affective neurosciences and brings together expertise on phenotyping, genotyping, cognotyping, encephalon imaging and molecular signatures to address brain-behaviour issues. New experimental techniques including encephalon imaging, genetic testing and neuropsychological cess combined with new theoretical insights take opened up meaning potential for the advancement of novel diagnostic tools and treatments for people with mental disorders. The initial focus on trauma and resilience has at present extended to work in substance utilise and NeuroHIV.
ZAR, Prof Heather
MBBCh, FAAP, PhD is head of Paediatric Pulmonology at Red Cantankerous Childrens Infirmary, Academy of Cape Town.
Her enquiry focuses on child lung health including HIV-associated lung disease, childhood pneumonia and babyhood TB. In 2014 she received the 2014 World Lung Wellness Award, awarded past the American Thoracic Order at a ceremony in San Diego, in recognition of work that has "the potential to eliminate gender, racial, ethnic, or economic health disparities worldwide".
